When you have a doubt on the condition of the car, you should ask if you can bring the car to a qualified mechanic.

Many auto service centers offers 100 plus points of inspection to give you a detailed diagnosis report on each of the

engine, mechanical, wear and tear parts. Make sure you request the mechanic to do a cylinder compression test, expecially for a high mileage car.

Ask for detailed condition and cost to repair or replace worn or problem parts.

 

You can negotiate that detailed repair or replacement cost with the seller if you want to buy the car.

 

You should ask for a referral from your friend, dealer, yellow pages or AAA for auto diagnostic center near the area.
