HOW TO NEGOTIATE
One of the best way to negotiate is after you've done your homework on the car:
- the detailed car history report
- the detailed car diagnostic report and estimated cost to fix the car.
- list of exterior and interior parts that are worn, torn and damages.
- the overal market price, and pricing guide reference.
Determine a maximum price that you are willing to buy the car if the seller agree.
Make a realistic offer on the car that is lower than a your maximum price.
Be ready to explain how you come up with that price, use your homework of the cost to repair and replace sheets.
Wait for the respond from the seller with professional attitude.
If there is a difference, add some reasonable amount to your price and request the other party to also reduce the price.
Once you've reach your maximum amount tell the other party that is the amount you budgeted for the car.
You should give the other party a day or time to think your offer if he/she cannot make the decision at that time.
If the other party agree with the price, you should work on the transfer of title and payment process.
